Changing Seasons

Gurgaon is a strange city (I know that some may want to categorize it as nothing more than a suburb, but well, it is a city in its own right). As you enter Gurgaon from NH8, the skyline hits you. You get transformed into an Indian version of Las Vegas. This city was created out of barren pieces of land to be a concrete jungle and shopping/entertainment hub. Thousands of MNCs, hundreds of condos and scores of Malls dot the glittering skyline of this city.

But this post is not about the skyline, though it has a role to play :)

Now that I am 2 weeks away from moving out of Gurgaon, all the things that i will miss keep coming back. One thing that I will miss a lot is the change in season. Considering that I will be in Bangalore next, makes me miss this even more. While I love Bangalore weather, and that is one of the reasons why I am shifting, but the sad fact is that Bangalore weather mostly remains the same.

The feel of switch between winters, summers, spring and autumn always fills me with a lot of optimism and hope. I feel connected to nature and a hope in the process of life returns.

As I type this blog the season is changing from winter to summer. Neither is it so cold so as to wear layer over layer of warm clothes, a light jacket is sufficient. Nor is it so hot that you can't venture out in the Sun.

Standing in the balcony of my 14th floor apartment overlooking a gliterring Gurgaon skyline, I wonder where these towers vanish when I stand at the same place during peak winters and dense fog! It creates a sense of void and infinity. But as the season changes and fog clears it brings back clarity and vision to the target with visible skyline and moving traffic.

In this air you can smell hope, hope that this change in season will bring new beliefs, fresh opportunities and break from the past.

It is in this hope that I am moving on in life to experience a different city, culture, people and opportunities.

There is nothing I enjoy more than putting my 100% and then giving life a chance.

Bring it on! :)
